The PGL Fantasy Football League

Season #2 of the PGL Fantasy Football League is nearly underway!

Our 12 teams are set with Fuze (re)taking the last spot. I appreciate everyone who has offered to give up a spot for someone else, but don`t worry about me, I`ll have just as much fun manipulat- er, uh, running the league. Besides, my plate is pretty full for football season as it is with NCAA and Madden leagues and the other six fantasy football leagues that I`m in. So, Fuze coming back just saved me some time.

So, I think we are going to start a draft thread sometime in early August and we`ll get through as much as we can using that. Then we`ll find a night before the season starts (which would be Thursday, September 4th) that most of us can get together and knock out the rest of the draft. Don`t forget this is right around the time of PAX and a lot of us will be out of town around in late August. Anyways, no worries, we`ll get that date nailed down as it approaches.

LINEUPS - Lineups are due each week before kickoff of the first game, typically 1 pm (Eastern) on Sunday. Weekly lineups will consist of 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 K, and one defense/special teams.

Scoring

Scoring for this league will be 6 points for all TDs thrown, caught, or run for. 1 points for every 25 yards passing, 1 point for every 10 yards rushing, 1 points for every 10 yards receiving.

Bonuses are 5 points for 300 yards passing. 2 points for 100 yards rushing, 2 points for 100 yards receiving, 3 points for 200 yards rushing, 3 points for 200 yards receiving, 5 points for 10 or more receptions in a game.

Kickers will get 1 point for every extra point, 3 points for a field goal from 1 to 39 yards out, 5 points for a field gol from 40 to 49 yards, and 10 points for a field gold from 50 yards or more.

Your defense/special teams will score 6 points for every touchdown they score, 2 points for every sack, 2 points for every interception, and 2 points for every fumble recovered. There is a 5 point bonus for your defense/special teams for holding an opponant to 10 points or less. A safety is worth 5 points.

END OF REGULAR SEASON - Week 13 is the final week of our regular season. The division winners and one wild card team from each conference (South/West and North/East) advance to the playoffs. The team with the best record in each conference will get a first round bye in the playoffs

CHAMPIONSHIP WEEK - Week 16
is the PGL Championship game as well as the Consolation Game between the Conference Champion losers the previous week.
